When uploading a giving file, noting channel source is an important way to better understand the giving behaviors of your donors.
The best way to note channel source in your .csv file is to look to the source code you have noted in your donor database and then parse out the channel. You don't want to upload the full source code as this will make your reports in your GivingDNA account too granular. Instead you can pull the cannels out from your source code so you can see the key themes - direct mail, online, social, p2p, etc.
